FROM INTERNS TO INDUSTRY

Intern Alumni Spotlight

In 2020, MOXIE Nashville welcomed its inaugural class of interns: three students from Bradley University and one from Tennessee State University. Their internship began during an extraordinary moment in history, as the COVID-19 pandemic, civil unrest, and the rapid shift to remote work transformed the way we lived and worked.

Despite the uncertainty, each intern successfully completed the program remotely and went on to graduate from their respective institutions. Today, they're building careers across industries, applying the skills and experiences they gained through the MOXIE Nashville internship program.

WHY DO INTERNSHIPS MATTER?

Because Every Great
Career Starts Somewhere.

At MOXIE Nashville, career development isn't just part of what we do. It's part of who we are.

Dr. Vannesia Darby began her career as an intern at Circle of Thirds Productions before interning at EMI Gospel, experiences that opened doors and laid the foundation for a career in music, marketing, entrepreneurship, research, and leadership.

Later, while at Motown Gospel, she oversaw the label's internship program, further reinforcing her belief in the power of internships to shape careers.

Today, MOXIE Nashville continues that tradition by creating meaningful opportunities for students through internships, intern sessions, client referral opportunities, and speaking engagements. We believe investing in emerging talent strengthens individuals, industries, and communities.
