Q&A with Sovonna

What are you up to now?

Currently, I am focused on artistic expression through writing, acting, film, and music.

What’s something you still carry with you from your time at MOXIE?

What I carry from my time at MOXIE is the organization, adaptability, and strategic thinking that I have since then strengthened as important skills. Alongside the opportunity to collaborate with other artists, which I experienced at MOXIE with other creative and motivated interns.

How did the internship shape you personally or professionally?

The internship sharpened the confidence I’ve always carried by focusing it into a place where I could interact with it, allowing me to form more aligned connections, trust my instincts, and make aligned decisions for the work I do.

What’s been the biggest highlight of your journey since then?

The biggest highlight of my journey so far has been discovering myself, authentically. I am always finding ways to connect more deeply with my artistic interests publicly. My time at MOXIE supported this. Interning for Vannesia, alongside our trusted and sharp team, gave me everything I needed to reflect on what I was truly passionate about.

Looking back, what did being part of MOXIE mean to you?

Being at MOXIE meant working with integrity, passion, and deliberate purpose. All of those qualities I take everywhere with me.

“Being at MOXIE meant working with integrity, passion, and deliberate purpose.”
