I don’t know about you, but it seems like there’s so much noise going around lately.
Good, bad, or indifferent…it just seems like there’s a lot of stuff, doesn’t it?
There are obligations, RSVP’s, work, graduations, goals, projects, side hustles, commitments, responsibilities…and the list goes on.
I’ve been feeling it lately, too.
So last week, I went to a hot yoga class (yoga at 85-95 degrees).
Now, if you remember my time on the stair master, you know me and my workouts are an interesting combination.
Nevertheless, the one thing that yoga allows me to learn constantly is that life comes with boundaries. These limitations are in place for my protection. I physically can not pop in and out of moves, similar to popping in and out of phases in life. I learn when my body is out of alignment, similar to when my sphere of influence is a little off. I learn how far I’ve come. I learn how long I have to go.
I know you may not downward dog your way through life. But, my prayer for you this week is that you’re not consumed with all of the obligations that you think you have to do.
There’s a lot of beautiful things that are happening around you. Stop for a second and take notice.
If you ever forget, take a look at this Instagram Proverb:
“Having a rough day? Place your hand over your heart. Feel that? It’s called purpose. You’re alive for a reason. Don’t give up.” — Joyce Meyer
